Hiring Class 2 HGV ADR Driver in the United Kingdom
Position Overview
Canadian Linen is seeking a skilled and motivated Plant Maintenance Mechanic to support building and plant operations. This role involves maintaining production equipment, utility systems, conveyors, and facility infrastructure while ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company procedures and safety regulations

Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems
-
Operate and service utility equipment, including air compressors, air dryers, low-volume boilers, and hot water tanks
-
Perform building maintenance and general facility repairs
-
Repair and replace lighting fixtures, bulbs, and ballasts (interior and exterior)
-
Maintain conveyor and railing systems, including Metricon and Futurail linen rail systems
-
Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment such as mat rollers, ironers, finishing tunnel conveyor chains, shipping rails (Planiform), forklifts, and scissor lifts

Provide scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance support during production

Carry out additional maintenance duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Attributes
-
High school diploma or GED (trade certificates and relevant work experience are an asset)

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs with assistance

Strong time management and problem-solving abilities

Organized, productive, and adaptable to changing priorities

Demonstrates integrity, respect, responsibility, and a positive work attitude

Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
