Key Responsibilities & Tasks
The successful candidates will be responsible for high-quality masonry work on various construction sites. Primary tasks include:
- Masonry Installation: Preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other masonry units.
- Veneer Facing: Laying stone or bricks to provide professional veneer finishes.
- Precision Work: Cutting and trimming materials to exact specifications using hand and power tools.
- Restoration: Cleaning, painting, or restoring existing masonry structures.
- Safety: Working confidently at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this $40+/hour role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience.
- Credentials: Bricklayer Red Seal or Trade Certification is highly preferred.
- Safety Training: WHMIS, First Aid, and Fall Arrest Protection certificates.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Tools: Must have own basic tools (hard hat, steel-toed boots).
