Job Overview

Leigh Grange Farms is seeking an experienced and motivated full-time farm worker to join our well-established family-owned cropping operation in Morawa, Western Australia. This is a permanent, full-time role offering long-term stability within a professional agricultural business.

The successful candidate will play a key role in operating and maintaining modern farm machinery, with a strong focus on harvester operations and precision agriculture technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a wide range of agricultural machinery, including:

    • Tractors

    • Boom sprayers

    • Harvesters (Case preferred)

    • Air seeders

    • Spreaders

    • Augers

    • Farm vehicles (cars/utes)

  • Set up, calibrate, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain harvesters

  • Utilize and optimize precision agriculture systems, including:

    • GPS guidance

    • Yield mapping

    • Variable rate technology

    • Trimble systems

  • Perform mechanical servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance of machinery

  • Carry out welding, metal fabrication, and infrastructure repairs

  • Conduct auto-electrical diagnostics and repairs

  • Assist with general farm duties to support seasonal cropping operations

  • Follow all workplace health, safety, and operational procedures

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in agricultural or cropping operations

  • Proven experience operating heavy agricultural machinery

  • Strong background in harvester operation and maintenance (Case preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with precision agriculture technologies

  • High mechanical aptitude with maintenance and repair skills

  • Welding, fabrication, and metalwork experience

  • Auto-electrical knowledge

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety

  • Willingness to relocate to Morawa, WA

  • Good communication skills in English
