The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be the backbone of our technical operations, ensuring that technology empowers our staff and students alike.
- Vibrant Community Support: Provide hands-on and remote technical support to a creative staff community, triaging incidents through our IT ticketing system.
- Infrastructure & Hardware: Deploy, maintain, and optimize computer hardware and peripheral equipment (includes occasional heavy lifting).
- Cloud & Enterprise Admin: Administer Office 365, Google Workspace, and Azure AD, managing secure onboarding/off-boarding and data integrity.
- Process Automation: Identify opportunities for efficiency using Power Automate, low-code solutions, or APIs to streamline organizational workflows.
- Data & Analytics: Use SQL and query writing to build dashboards, audit data accuracy, and assist in relational database management.
- Capacity Building: Create technical documentation and lead training sessions to help NBS staff master new platforms and solutions.
Requirements: What We Are Looking For
- Education: Degree or diploma in IT, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years in a technical support role. Non-profit or arts sector experience is a major asset.
- Microsoft Mastery: Proven experience with Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint Online, and Teams.
- Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls (Juniper/FortiGate), and structured cabling.
- Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in SQL and data analysis; familiarity with CRM platforms like Blackbaud is a plus.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with people at all levels of the organization.
